Even with hearing disorders babies understand the speech
The joy of the birth of tiny, sweet baby has been replaced by the shock that it can not hear. The period is terrifying, but the faster you recover, the better. The development of babies and young children with impaired hearing should not differ significantly from the development of hearing children. For some parents it seems strange that babies can build habits for complete communication. They ask , "How it can happen when one of the main channels for obtaining information - hearing - is impaired?". This is why we pay special attention to the nature of communication as a process of mutual exchange of information and emotions in this particular age.
In the therapeutic work with parents and their children we stick to the general rules of development and growth, approved and adopted as the "norm." Of course, the development of cochlear implanted children and hearing impaired people dependents even more upon the environment. The more you talk, the more contacts you have with your child, the better is the relationship between the parents, the more child development will follow the usual path, typical of hearing children.
So - at work!
- Bringing up activities
- Games with the child
Most parents do not miss the daily activities - their child is fed, clothed, dry. There is little time for games but they are of vital importance. Playing with your child provides a basis for him to recognize your voice, encourages him to use his own voice and to learn to communicate. Yes, your child can understand you and response to you, as we shall see in the next article.
